Crafts with Baby Socks

I have been pretty good at handing old kids cloths to friends kids or to charity but somehow baby socks evolve from most peculiar places, often without a matching pair. So when I found the idea of making pigs out of old baby socks (in a German crafts magazine Super Bastelspass), I was thrilled. Making cats was my daughters idea. We have also made bunnies with the same idea but so that they were sitting on a stick so we could used them for Easter table decorations.

On top of the baby sock we used stuffing from an old sofa cushion, old buttons for pigs noses, cut some cat eyes, noses and ears from some left over felt fabric pieces and used a pipe cleaners for tails.  Image

  2. I get those odd socks all the time. We have a lot of sock puppets already so it’s nice to have a new idea.
