Rest Yarns and Happy Toddlers

Toddler socks and mittens do not require a lot of yarn, so I like to use up the rests to keep my kids warm. The pictures on them are an added bonus, and making them started off as a joke: I once stitched a kitten on my daughters mitten and she became so happy that I made more. Now it has become a bit of a game for the kids to see the pics that appear on their socks and mittens. I stitch the pictures loosly so that it is easy to remove the stitching and make a new one.

To find more easy crafts I’ve done with or without my toddlers, take a look at this index page.

  2. Did you knit the mittens and socks? You are really talented. I never thought about adding faces:)

    1. Thank you, but have to say mittens and socks do not require that much 🙂 But I find knitting relaxing (not for the shoulders but for the brains), and have been knitting since I was 14.
