We had an early Saturday morning, and decided to make use of the pine cones Mum brought us. A quick search gave me loads of crafts ideas that are nice but far to complicated for toddlers. So we did our own toddler friendly design that worked well in the still dark morning:
First we rehearsed gluing cones by making these table decorations (and the glue will become invisible when it dries but this is authentic made by toddlers 😉 ):
I cut one of their old paintings first, then we glued it on thick paper together. Then the kids chose the cones and wooden beads they attached themselves. They hardly made any mess!
And then we used the same idea for the candle holders but we glued a paper napkin on a disposable plate first (you may remember I find paper plates superb for toddler crafts…) Very simple but a fun little thing to do together!
