Luckan organises a free multicultural event for children at Annantalo on Sat 12th April 12-4pm that sounds amazing: they have theatre, dance performances, crafts workshops etc for everybody, that is, all programme encourages the children to use all senses even to the extent, that some of the theatre plays are both for those who see and those who don’t. It will also give opportunities to explore other cultures. Please find the whole programme here (you have to scroll down for the English part).
If you don’t know what Luckan is you may want to take a look here. in short it is a Finland-Swedish information and cultural centre, that offers, quite downtown, a Finland-Swedish room with free internet and Finland-Swedish newspapers for anyone, organises cultural events, and offers information on the Swedish speaking minority in Finland. They also have a programme assisting immigrants to integrate to Finland.
I’d love to go to Annantalo but am doing a course this Saturday (which will be interesting too). If you do, please feel free to drop a line here to tell us how it was. Or to link to your blog!
