Free Family Friendly Events coming up

The summer season is coming closer and there is loads of happenings around. Here are a few family friendly ones I just happened to come across even though my days are pretty full with other programme for now.

10/5 Lasten unelma (Kids dream) on Sitratori (market place) and in Kanneltalo in Kannelmäki. 10am-4pm, there’ll be a fire truck, workshops with crafts, face painting, outdoor games, and Fröbelin palikat performing (at 2pm). More info in Finnish here. Lucky I’ll be studying all day…

17/5 Restaurant Day, sentiments from the last time we participated here

17/5 Kaaren Kekkerit (Kannelmäki) 11am-4pm: facepainting, making hats and crowns, Moomins and a magician performing. More info, again only in Finnish, here.

24/5 Cleaning Day coming up again. More about it here and we’ll be close to this place selling stuff too!

24/5 Handicrafts market käsityökortteli with not so free but local and handmade products on Narinkkatori in Kamppi.

24-25/5 World Village Festival with loads of programme for everybody.

  1. Looks like plenty to pick from! I like how many are geared towards kids, I’m grown up and still love having my face painted!

    1. Face painting IS fun 🙂
this part of the world really gets going when the days are long and there is less need for sleep. Yay.
