Vapriikki is in one of the beautiful red brick former industrial buildings in central Tampere. Many of them has been transformed into picturesque crafts shops and restaurants with lovely waterways (old post here) but Vapriikki hosts several exhibitions (entrance fee to all 10e/adult), conferences and even a lunch restaurant and a great patio.
The decorations in the general and open for all areas are pretty entertaining though:

I can’t recommend a longer bike ride with this bike if you want to sit the following day…

Yes, the swans are real (and stuffed)
Did you try riding that bike? 🙂
Sure did, and it was anything but comfortable. Balancing it would also have been pretty hard, lucky this one was supported!
I love this kind of architecture! It’s so beautiful and industrial at the same time.
Wait… So the swans are real!? Were they stuffed?
Yep, swans stuffed (and not alive 😉 ) next to is the lunch restaurant.
I’m a big sucker for those old red brick buildings.
Me too!
I’ve been trying to think why. Did they feature in my childhood memories? Books??
??? Or maybe they just come with the atmosphere?
Maybe it’s inherent 🙂 .
