Cafe Sattmark, Pargas

A cafe to be visited by car or boat shortly south of the island town of Pargas. There are fun wooden animals on the yard for children to play with as well as big blocks and sand pit with toys, a big outdoors area, a lovely sign showing were the sauna, jetty, beach, a little crafts shop and shop selling smoked salmon are, and a midsummer pole raised. The cafe makes a good stop on the archipelago-ring-road and a good starting point for small day hikes, and I’ve heard their weekend brunches are fabulous. Prices were reasonable. However, after the new owner took over I was disappointed to see no savoury things on sale. Also, in the country of lactose intolerant’s quite surprising that nothing was lactose free. But the atmosphere was there!
