Lilla Luckan, the meeting place for Swedish speaking children (and their parents), is situated just across the street from Luckan, the meeting place for Swedish services quite down town on Simonsgatan 8 ( Luckan is also coordinating the Bridge project in English, which aims to help immigrants integrate in Finland. More about those services here).
Once a month Lilla Luckan has a familjelördag, “family Saturday”, with programme. This Saturday they showed 4 short movies based on Camilla Mickwitz lovely children’s books. The stories are kind and full of imagination, and the language simple, so good even for kids learning Swedish. So we had a great free movie experience that Lilla Luckan topped of by also offering juice and biscuits for all kids after the movies. They have other cultural monthly programme as well.
Luckan also offeres some activities for children in English, please find more information on those here.
