After a long winter in a barn, the cows of the Helsinki University were let out on May 7th. It’s lovely that they announced the time! Probably hundreds of city people gathered there to do the countdown, see the doors open and the cows run and jump out of joy on the pasture.
They’d made an event out of it: a choir, peddle tractors, hopping in hey, milk cafe etc was offered. Unfortunately we had to dash immediately after seeing the cows and didn’t try anything else. Next year.
My city kids found this free event “super exciting”. The younger one was too excited and nervous to stand on his own, so the pics are as good as I managed with one hand.
We saw this happening the week after we moved here. Wanted to go but didn’t make it…Like the blog, you have a new subscriber. I’m at http://friedfinland.blogspot.fi/ if you’re bored on a rainy day.
This is awesome! That brown cow looks like he’s having the time of his life!
