Sightseeing by Scooter

Our kids are 6 and almost 5, the stroller has not been used for a long time, but still the idea of walking isn’t always taken by storm by them.

I actually think they walk good distances in the forest or to a playground/ to catch up with friends/to buy ice cream… that is, “bribed” with something fun at the end.

But if the focus is on walking… as it often in new places is for me and my husband: we like a our have a stroll to look around. Then we can not or do not always want promise something.

An easy solution has been to take our light small scooter along. It makes a big difference! One is good, they take turns and get the needed variation but also move along. Even if we’d end up carrying it, it’s light. And we still use the one we bought for 15e for the older one when she was 2…

The other option we use is to play catch on the way. But then adults need to run too…
Other tips on getting your kids to walk from A to B without hassle?

  1. The scooter and bribes are usually my go-to methods too haha!! I am still slightly reliant on the stroller so I don’t have to carry so much stuff.

    1. Yeah, having to carry everything nowadays is the worst!😜

  2. Don’t tell this to my husband or he buys a scooter for me :-).
