Board walks in Torronsuo

We had a lovely day out yesterday: we drove about 1,5 hrs north west from Helsinki to Torronsuo, a swamp a little south of Forssa. There they have built lovely board walks around and across the swamp, which are fun to walk on even for kids. There is also 200 metres of board walk to a viewing platform, which is accessible with wheel chair / pram.

Take your snags along as close to the parking area there is also a fire place for everyone to use next to a bird watching tower with a great view over the whole area.

We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny but a little crisp spring day. Finally the flowers are blooming too!

  1. Very beautiful photos. When driving to Forssa, I have seen the sigh showing to Torrronsuo. Thank You for this lovely post.

    1. Maybe next time you’ll have to time to take a turn and check it out too!

  2. Looks like a lovely place for a walk in the sunshine. Great that it’s so flat, so it’s easy for the kids to explore without getting too tired.
