We totally underestimated the size of this former sailing giant that is now with EU money trying to restore the old skills and traditions.
We didn’t make it across the whole island to the highest light house but we climbed up the one closer the capital of the island. Next to it was also a memorial for the victims of Estonia.
Everything on the island was clean, houses picturesque and a biking trip around the island seems very tempting. I loved the straw tables and chairs
at a restaurant in the marina.
It only cost a few euros (13?) to get the car and all of us across on the one hour long ferry ride, the ferries go several times a day and most of the time one can just drive to the terminal without having made a booking in advance.
