Haltiala Farm

It is time to return to some old fun, Haltiala is always worth a visit. But omg how small our children were 4 years ago!

Free But Fun

Haltiala is a farm in Helsinki that gives city people an opportunity to see how a farm works. My son loved the tractors, my daughter was interested in the animals too. Picnic may have been the highlight of this little trip though… There are also some wooden piglets and other animals kids can climb on.

By the farm there are also a couple of scenic fields where the city grows flowers. There are garden flowers by Laamannintie and sun flowers and peas by Torpparinmäenpolku. They are allowed to be picked for free for the own use there where a sign says it is ok. Peas should be ready to be picked now, sun flowers at the end of August.
