The great thing with continental Europe is that the distances are so short. Me and hubby got a free long weekend in September, booked flights to Amsterdam, hired a small car for three days. Long nights, relaxing meals and coffee breaks, catching up with friends, a few walks and a bike ride in three days. Marvellous. Great to still have fun together without kids, not a bad thing for a married couple of almost 10 years!
