On this sunny and breezy Autumn day we decided to finally see this outdoor area in the eastern Helsinki that we’ve heard is magnificent. And it was!
To be exact, the outdoor area is on the Laajasalo mainland and Pyysaari is a tiny little island attached to the mainland with a narrow jetty jetty. To get to the island you need to walk no more than 1km on lovely paths from the nearest car park. There is a city bus coming there too. Almost next to the car park there is also a tidy little playground, which is characterized by a little play house, big wooden cow and a wooden lamb.
Pyysaari itself is tiny, and half of it you can not walk on unless you are a part of the sailing club that is renting the island from the city of Helsinki. But on the other half you have a restaurant that has a terrace possibly with the nicest sea view in Helsinki.
The restaurant from the far end of the island, and then the view from the terrace and its lasts tables with some rain clouds almost catching up with us.
On the right of the little play house is the path up to the closest car park.

The sheep in the playground is odd but it works! I bet the kids love it. The play house is very cute.
