Flower Arrangements

20160102_105334.jpgGranny has a wonderful garden, and my daughter loved being able to choose the flowers she’d use in her arrangements.

Have to say, I think granny enjoyed the activity quite as much. But a lovely activity for anyone who has access to garden flowers!

  1. This is one of my favourite things to do myself. Sometimes I even treat myself to flowers from the flower shop! I remember when the kids were very little they’d love to pick some flowers (usually weeds) on the way home from kindergarten. One would like me to wear them in my hat, the other preferred a vase. Such happy memories.

    1. Oh, lovely! I’d love to be good at this but have to admit my daughter makes nicer arrangements. I am very happy to have flowers bought or picked to me though! 🙂

  2. Have I mentioned that his first year of High School my son took a class on floral arrangements – I loved it because he frequently came home with flowers for me, but he took it as a way to have a skill when he went looking for a job, I thought it was so smart of him! It is a skill that your daughter will be able to focus and refine and use the rest of her life – that way she’s not like me… I just plop the flowers in a vase and am done! LOL

    1. Mr T is so smart, I love his thinking! I’m very happy to encourage more girl because I’m like you, just plop them in a vase… lucky enough do have grandparents!
